When integrating corporate cultures after Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) the conceptual approach is of central importance. This integrated approach should be selected before the actual integration takes place. Therefore it seems sensible to survey the existing approaches and their pros and cons. Such an overview is given in this article. The relevant concepts are presented, compared, and evaluated. Overall, there are useful concepts depending on the respective situation, but there is no universal approach that takes the cross-cultural background of the M&A transactions sufficiently into account.

Zusammenfassung
Bei der Integration von Unternehmenskulturen nach Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) ist das Vorgehenskonzept von zentraler Bedeutung. Dieses Integrationskonzept sollte bereits im Vorfeld der eigentlichen Integration ausgewählt werden. Dabei ist es notwendig, einen Überblick über die bestehenden Ansätze und deren Vorund Nachteile zu haben. Einen solchen Überblick gibt dieser Artikel. Die jeweiligen Konzepte werden vorgestellt, verglichen und bewertet. Insgesamt gibt es situationsabhängig gute und hilfreiche Konzepte, jedoch fehlt ein universeller Ansatz, der insbesondere einen möglichen interkulturellen Hintergrund der jeweiligen M&A Transaktionen ausreichend würdigt.
